Pretoria is braced for a battle tonight as Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Siwelele to Loftus Versfeld, with both sides carrying very different ambitions into this Betway Premiership showdown.

For Siwelele, this is more than another fixture. It is an opportunity to punch above their weight, silence the doubters and throw a serious spanner into Sundowns’ title ambitions. Sitting near the bottom of the table, they need points and quickly.
But standing in their way is a Sundowns side that has started the 2026/27 campaign with authority.

Masandawana sit at the summit after six matches with 16 points, unbeaten and determined to keep the pressure firmly on their closest challengers. The Brazilians know that dropping points at home could open the door for their rivals.
And if history is anything to go by, goals could be on the menu.

Now, Siwelele have another chance to rewrite the script.

Sundowns, meanwhile, will be hunting another three points, another statement performance and another step towards maintaining their position at the top.
Kick-off is 19:30 at Loftus Versfeld.
But before the whistle blows, it is time to test your football knowledge.
