Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Impact
VANDERBIJLPARK, SOUTH AFRICA – 15 September 2026 – The Faculty of Management Sciences at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) honoured excellence at the Dean’s Awards 2026, held on Friday, 28 August 2026, at the VUT Conference Centre in Vanderbijlpark.
The ceremony recognised outstanding contributions by academics and professionals in research, teaching, innovation, industry partnerships and community development.
Held under the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Impact”, the Dean’s Awards reflected the faculty’s commitment to recognising work that advances knowledge, strengthens leadership and contributes to society.
Speaking after the awards, Professor Chengedzai Mafini, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, said the event highlighted the importance of recognising excellence and inspiring future generations of academics, researchers and professionals.
“As VUT celebrates 60 years of teaching and innovation, the Dean’s Awards offered an opportunity to honour the people who continue to contribute to the University’s legacy,” Professor Chengedzai Mafini said.
“The awards recognised academics and professionals whose work strengthens the faculty and contributes to graduates, ideas and partnerships that respond meaningfully to the needs of industry and society,” Mafini added.
