1. The past has a way of catching up with you
Tariq (Elton Landrew) experiences a life-changing moment when he learns that his estranged daughter has died in a tragic car accident. She leaves behind her seven-year-old daughter, Katinka (Alexis Newman). What begins as devastating news also presents an unexpected opportunity for reconciliation. Suddenly, Tariq is given a chance to rebuild a connection with family he believed he had lost forever.

Marco (Neels van Jaarsveld) put his career on hold for a decade to raise his children, while his wife, Cecile (Rolanda Marais), focused on building her political career.
