Suzuki Auto South Africa is elevating the Suzuki Griquas’ home matchday experience throughout the Currie Cup tournament with a series of fan-focused activations, competitions and community initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to creating memorable experiences for supporters while backing the team’s Currie Cup campaign.

Throughout the season, Suzuki Griquas supporters can look forward to:

·         The Boot-to-Boot half-time challenge, where supporters can put their rugby skills to the test.

·         Exclusive 140 Years of Rugby Excellence commemorative Suzuki Griquas alumni hampers.

At the heart of Suzuki’s matchday experience is the Boot-to-Boot half-time challenge. Fans are encouraged to visit the Suzuki activation stand to collect a complimentary branded Suzuki cap and register to take part in the Boot-to-Boot challenge. During half time break, five contestants will go head-to-head by attempting to kick a rugby ball into the boot of a Suzuki vehicle. Contestants who successfully land the ball in the boot, or record the closest attempt, will qualify for the final challenge at the final home fixture game to win an all expenses paid Suzuki experience at Betway SA20.

The prize reflects Suzuki’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for sports fans, connecting the passion of the Currie Cup with one of South Africa’s premier cricket tournaments. As Suzuki continues to grow its investment across rugby, cricket and soccer, the brand remains focused on rewarding supporters with unique experiences that bring them closer to the sport they love. Competition terms and conditions apply.

“At Suzuki, our customers and sports fans are at the heart of everything we do,” said Brendon Carpenter, Brand Marketing Manager at Suzuki Auto South Africa. “As a fan-centric brand, we know how big sport is appreciated in South Africa, and our mission is to strengthen our footprint and make an impact within various tournaments, teams and fans. Through our partnerships with the Suzuki Griquas and Betway SA20, we’re able to invest and create touch points that reward supporters with unique opportunities, while celebrating the passion they bring to South African sport.”

This year also marks 140 years of rugby excellence for the Suzuki Griquas. To commemorate this milestone, Suzuki will celebrate the union’s proud heritage by giving supporters the opportunity to win exclusive alumni hampers throughout the Currie Cup season.

Fans are encouraged to visit the Suzuki activation area at every home game and follow Suzuki Auto South Africa and the Suzuki Griquas on social media for competition details, fixture updates and exclusive content throughout the tournament.
