Johannesburg is preparing for two unforgettable nights where timeless music, elegance and unforgettable performances will take centre stage as Ndlala Arena rolls out the red carpet for the highly anticipated return of Ndlala Grandeur II on 21 and 22 August 2026.
With Women’s Month providing the perfect backdrop, the premium live music spectacular promises an extraordinary celebration of legendary voices, soulful melodies and international entertainment, reaffirming Ndlala Arena’s growing reputation as one of South Africa’s leading destinations for world-class live events.
Building on the overwhelming success of its inaugural edition, this year’s showcase raises the bar by bringing together Grammy-winning performers, internationally acclaimed R&B legends and one of South Africa’s most treasured musical talents under one roof.
Organisers believe the event reflects their commitment to delivering premium entertainment experiences that rival the very best on the global stage.
The musical journey begins on Friday, 21 August, with an intimate evening celebrating some of R&B’s most iconic voices.

Leading the opening night is RL (Robert Lavelle Huggar), the unmistakable lead vocalist of the multi-platinum group NEXT. Revered for timeless hits including Too Close, Wifey, Butta Love and I Still Love You, RL brings more than three decades of musical excellence to the Johannesburg stage. His remarkable career has seen him collaborate with celebrated artists such as Deborah Cox, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg and 2Pac, while also writing for music legends including Luther Vandross, Usher, Jaheim and Jamie Foxx.

Joining him is Grammy Award-winning R&B sensation Mýa, whose smooth vocals and chart-topping catalogue have made her one of the defining female artists of her generation. From Case of the Ex and It’s All About Me to My Love Is Like… Wo and Free, Mýa’s music continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Her Grammy-winning contribution to Lady Marmalade remains one of the most celebrated collaborations in modern R&B history.
Flying South Africa’s flag is award-winning Afro-soul powerhouse Zonke Dikana, whose exceptional songwriting and unmistakable voice have earned her multiple South African Music Awards and an MTV Africa Music Award. With a catalogue filled with timeless classics and a reputation for captivating live audiences, Zonke adds a proudly local touch to an evening packed with international excellence.
The excitement reaches another level on Saturday, 22 August, when Grammy-nominated R&B superstar Ginuwine headlines the festival’s second night.
Known globally for defining hits including Pony, Differences, So Anxious, In Those Jeans and Same Ol’ G, Ginuwine has remained one of contemporary R&B’s most influential performers for more than three decades. Working alongside legendary producer Timbaland, the American hitmaker transformed the sound of modern R&B, while his success as a member of the acclaimed supergroup TGT alongside Tank and Tyrese further cemented his legendary status.
As anticipation continues to grow, Ndlala Grandeur II is shaping up to be far more than a concert. It promises a celebration of musical excellence, nostalgia and luxury, bringing together generations of R&B fans for two spectacular evenings that are expected to become one of Johannesburg’s standout entertainment events of the year.
