The Southern Hemisphere’s most spectacular wine celebration returns to Johannesburg for three unforgettable nights of discovery, connection and enjoyment. Bringing 9 000 wine enthusiasts together under one roof, Standard Bank Private WineX 2026 will once again transform the city into the wine capital of Africa.
Sponsored by Standard Bank Private, WineX has evolved far beyond its origins to become a multi-sensory blend of wine, art, music and entertainment. After 25 years at the Sandton Convention Centre, the event continues to create wealthier life experiences that bring people together through the joy of shared moments.
What makes this event a diary essential? Guests can explore an exceptional line-up of 700 wines and brandies from more than 120 exhibitors, ranging from legendary award-winning cellars to exciting boutique producers whose vintages may become tomorrow’s cult favourites. Bringing the best of the Cape Winelands to the heart of Gauteng, WineX invites visitors to broaden their tastes, deepen their appreciation and discover something new.
The magic of WineX lies in making the world of wine welcoming to everyone, from curious first-time tasters to seasoned collectors. Newcomers can engage directly with passionate winemakers; ask the questions they have always wanted to ask and build their knowledge with confidence. There are no “secret codes” and no elitism, only a shared enthusiasm for wine, learning and wealthier connections.
Wine enthusiasts can explore an array of wines so vast that even the most dedicated cannot hope to cover everything on offer. Discover rare gems, limited releases, and exclusive tastings that aren’t available anywhere else truly making it a blend of the best.
It is an invitation to discover more, share richer moments and enjoy experiences that make life feel truly wealthier
