Basadien is joined on the nominees’ roll by defensive partner Thabo Moloisane, who is up for the Betway Premiership Defender of the Season gong, and Tylon Smith, who has been nominated for the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season.

Stellies’ impressive domestic campaign, in which the club reached the MTN8 final and finished third in the league standings, has also earned coach Steve Barker a nomination for the coveted Coach of the Season award.

Alongside the quartet is new signing Muzomuhle Khanyi, who is nominated for the National First Division Player of the Season after winning the Golden Boot with Hungry Lions last season.
