Excitement filled the air at the FlySafair Hangar Offices as FlySafair and Cricket South Africa (CSA) celebrated their bold partnership and unveiled the brand new Proteas themed aircraft livery.

The event marked the beginning of a three year journey that will see FlySafair serve as the official domestic airline partner for the men’s and women’s Proteas teams, flying them to matches across the country.

Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer of FlySafair, shared with pride, “As a proudly South African airline, we have always believed in backing initiatives that reflect the spirit and resilience of our nation. This partnership with the Proteas goes beyond sponsorship, it’s about lifting South African sport and uniting fans through flight.”

Adding to the moment, Mtunzi Jonas, Chief Commercial Officer at CSA, expressed, “FlySafair’s support comes at a crucial time as we rebuild and renew our teams. Together, we want to bring hope, pride, and performance that South Africans can celebrate.”

Fans were also introduced to Dinika Naidu, the creative mind behind the winning design that inspired the new Proteas aircraft livery. Her design, chosen from a public competition, captured the national spirit and now proudly flies the Proteas colours high above South Africa.

As the crowd admired the aircraft gleaming under the hangar lights, the message was clear, this is more than a partnership; it’s a symbol of national unity, ambition, and flight.

So next time you see a FlySafair jet climbing through the clouds, remember, it’s not just carrying passengers, it’s carrying the pride of South African cricket
