Johannesburg, South Africa – A Night With Legends 2025, proudly sponsored by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) through the Mzansi Golden Economy (MGE) Programme, will take place on 1 November 2025 at Vodacom World, Midrand.
The event combines three elements:
· Legends Awards 2025 (5–8 PM): Honoring legends across 10 categories.
· Live Match Screening (3 PM): Orlando Pirates vs. Mamelodi Sundowns.
· Concert Celebration (8 PM until late): Featuring South Africa’s top artists and Arthur Mafokate’s 33 Years in Music milestone.
By anchoring the event with the Legends Awards, the DSAC through MGE is ensuring that South Africa’s heritage and icons receive national recognition while fostering cultural pride and unity.
The Full-Day Experience
- Live Match Screening (3PM): The event begins with the highly anticipated clash between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, broadcast live on big screens to welcome fans early and create an electric atmosphere.
- Legends Awards (5PM – 8PM): Hosted in the main arena, the Awards will spotlight nominees and winners across multiple sectors, reinforcing the values of pride, unity, and nation-building.
- Concert Celebration (8PM – late): Following the Awards, the stage will come alive with performances from some of South Africa’s biggest names: Somizi, Arthur Mafokate (celebrating 33 years in music), Kelly Khumalo, Vusi Nova, Nomfundo Moh, Blaq Diamond, Big Zulu, Kamo Mphela, Focalistic, Jaziel Brothers, Lady Du, Chomee, DJ Cleo, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Dino Bravo, Professor, DJ Owami, DJ AJ, and more surprise acts.
