Proud sponsors of the Betway Premiership, Betway South Africa extends its heartfelt congratulations to Orlando Pirates FC on being crowned champions of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.

Following a highly competitive Betway Premiership title race, the Soweto giants secured their first league title in 14 years, capping off a memorable campaign that also sees them automatically qualify to fly the Betway Premiership flag as South African champions in inter-continental club football next season.

The conclusion of the 10-month season marks the end of yet another compelling chapter in South African football, enjoyed by millions of supporters and further cementing the Betway Premiership’s reputation as Africa’s premier club football premiership.

From sold-out stadiums and record television audiences to vibrant #BetwayPrem digital conversations across social platforms, the 2025/26 season once again showcased the unmatched passion and loyalty of local football fans.

In addition to the excitement on the pitch, the 2025/26 campaign also saw the successful rollout of the Betway Premiership S’bonise & Win campaign, which celebrated Mzansi’s fan culture through the rewarding of fans for attending matches in their most eye-catching club regalia.

Throughout the Betway season, supporters stood a chance to win cash prizes of up to R20 000.00, with Betway upping the ante through the introduction of the S’bonise & Win Dial-Up fixtures that saw fans taking home R50 000.00.

A total of 157 Betway S’bonise & Win winners were rewarded nationwide.

Commenting on the conclusion of the season, Managing Director of Super Group Africa – Powering Betway Africa, Jason Kramer, said: “We congratulate Orlando Pirates on a deserved and historic league triumph following an outstanding campaign. Their achievement is a testament to the competitiveness and quality of the Betway Premiership,” said Kramer.

“The 2025/26 season has been a tremendous success for South African football, and the strong reception to the Betway S’bonise & Win campaign further highlighted the importance of supporter engagement in growing and celebrating the local game,” he concluded.

Betway further extends its appreciation to all Betway Premiership clubs, players, supporters and partners who contributed to another exceptional Betway Premiership season.
