CASTLE LAGER GIFTS MZANSI A FREE BEER AS BAFANA BAFANA MAKE FIFA WORLD CUP HISTORY

Table of Content

South Africa has done it. Bafana Bafana have qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Round of 32, and Castle Lager is celebrating by buying the country a beer.

In honour of this historic achievement, Castle Lager is giving every South African of legal drinking age the chance to claim a free Castle Lager can. It is Castle Lager’s way of saying to ‘the fans that stood the test of time ‘this one’s for you’.

To claim a free can, South Africans simply need to visit Castlecans.com, sign up on the landing page and follow the redemption steps. The redemption process goes live at 16:00 today, 26 June 2026, and closes on Sunday, 28 June 2026 at 20:59. Available while stocks last. Ts&Cs apply. Not for persons under the age of 18.

“As the brand that has stood behind Bafana Bafana for decades, we want to celebrate this moment with the people who made it possible,” says Vaughan Croeser, Marketing VP of The South African Breweries. “Castle Lager believes in national unity and inclusion. No matter who you are or where you are from, this one is for every South African who stood behind Bafana Bafana and never sat back down.”

The celebratory gesture also enables fans to be part of the hunt for the limited edition FIFA World Cup 26 Castle Lager cans, which feature the stars of the Bafana Bafana squad. The first fan to scan and collect, the full set of 26 cans will win R1 million in cash, turning the collectible range into a nationwide treasure hunt.

Each can in the range is designed to be kept long after the beer is gone, creating a piece of memorabilia that captures this moment in South African football history.

South Africans can engage with the “The Fans That Stood The Test of Time” campaign by visiting www.castlecans.com, joining the social conversation using #DlalaCastle, or following Castle Lager’s official social media pages:
