E-GOV BUDGET VOTE TO HIGHLIGHT ACHIEVEMENTS IN DIGITISING GOVERNMENT SERVICES

The Gauteng MEC for e-Government, Mr. Bonginkosi Dhlamini, will deliver the Department’s 2025/ 26 Budget Vote tomorrow, 15 July 2025, at the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.

The Budget Vote is expected to highlight the department’s strategic focus on digitising government services to create easy access for citizens, connectivity expansion and the use of technology to support provincial crime-fighting initiatives.

MEC Dhlamini is also expected to announce key interventions including the rollout of the Gauteng Provincial Network (GPN), a critical infrastructure project aimed at expanding connectivity, enhancing access to digital government services, and accelerating ICT skills development for Gauteng residents.

In addition, the address will detail the continued expansion of CCTV Cameras in Townships, Informal Settlements and Hostels (TISH) areas and the deployment of the Gauteng E-Panic Button across Gauteng.
