FRIENDS OF BLACK MOTION RETURNS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE SAFARI EXPERIENCE

Table of Content

Pretoria’s iconic duo, Black Motion, are back with the ultimate music and lifestyle celebration – Friends of Black Motion (FOBM).

On Friday the Lion & Safari Park will come alive with electrifying beats, wildlife backdrops and a fusion of culture, music and dance in honour of the group’s quadruple nomination at SAMA31.

Nominated in four highly contested categories – Best Dance Album, Best Collaboration, Best Produced Album and Best Engineered Album – Black Motion are riding a wave of well-deserved recognition.

“We started rebranding three years ago and have now been rewarded with four nominations. This is a nod to our music. We work hard and put Friends of Black Motion first. This is the movement that ensures that we innovate and keep the dance floors ablaze.

For Black Motion, these nominations are not just awards; they are milestones. They believe that they are already winners, and this is a cause to celebrate. Revellers will get to experience the wildlife and their unique sound blending into one magical night.

Since its inception, FOBM has been more than just another festival. It has become a cultural movement, a playground where emerging stars rub shoulders with seasoned performers and where the energy of tomorrow meets the heartbeat of today’s sound. Each edition transforms into a living, breathing showcase of artistry and collaboration – always pushing boundaries, always unforgettable.

This year’s date change to 20 September 2025 was sparked by the group’s recent nominations. Caught off guard but overjoyed, the team made a powerful decision: to celebrate this triumph with the fans, their true “friends.”

The Lion & Safari Park sets the stage for an unmatched experience where the untamed spirit of nature collides with the pulse of African dance music. Fans can expect a carefully curated lineup of both emerging artists and industry giants, all chosen to guarantee an atmosphere of innovation, excellence and pure joy.

Tickets purchased for the original date remain valid for the new one, ensuring that no fan misses out on this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

The event is Friday 20 September at Lion & Safari Park within the Cradle of Humankind in the North West province
