The Iconic Global Summit & Honors 2025 lit up Sandton with a world class celebration of leadership, innovation and impact. Hosted by Iconic International Holdings in partnership with the Mayorkings Charity Foundation, this 6th edition delivered an unforgettable fusion of inspiring dialogue and high-profile recognitions.

Held under the bold theme “The Africa We Want: Sustainable Development; Everyone’s Responsibility”, the Summit gathered influential leaders, policymakers, investors, youth trailblazers and social change champions. The day opened with powerful conversations on Africa’s growth, and the evening transitioned into a glittering awards ceremony honouring individuals and organisations shaping the continent’s future.

A series of prestigious categories celebrated excellence in governance, youth leadership, innovation, humanitarian work, transformative entrepreneurship and continental service. The organisers also unveiled a suite of new “Iconic” platforms, including Iconic Africa, Iconic Women, Iconic Under 50/40/30 and the Iconic 500 List, cementing the Summit’s role as one of Africa’s leading recognition stages.

One of the most electrifying moments of the night came when Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma received a top Lifetime/Continental Icon honour. Her message captured the heart of the evening , a call for Africa to rise with intention, unity and ownership.

In her powerful address, she reminded guests that Africa’s next chapter depends on bold, collective action:
“Africa is richly blessed. We cannot continue giving away our strength. Our resources, our youth, our women, they are the engines of the future. It is time to turn the tide.”

She emphasized the need for the continent to process its own minerals, build industries, and empower the next generation to lead confidently on the world stage.

The Iconic Global Summit & Honors 2025 ultimately delivered more than awards, it delivered a renewed sense of mission. The energy, elegance and ambition in the room echoed a shared belief: Africa’s transformation is not a dream; it is a responsibility. And it begins now.
