OPPO FIND X9 SERIES, POWERED BY MEDIATEK’S FLAGSHIP DIMENSITY 9500 HAS LAUNCHED IN SOUTH AFRICA

MediaTek, an innovator of smartphone systems-on-chips (SoCs), has announced that the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset will feature in the Find X9 Series from leading global smartphone brand, OPPO. The Find X9 Series launched in South Africa on 7 November and is available exclusively through Vodacom.

Setting new standards in on-device AI, console-class gaming, and power efficiency, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 is engineered for the next wave of flagship 5G smartphones. The chipset introduces a groundbreaking third-generation All-Big-Core CPU architecture, featuring one 4.21GHz ultra-core, three premium cores and four performance cores.

The design achieves up to 32% higher single-core and 17% higher multi-core performance over the previous generation, while reducing peak power consumption by up to 55%.Equipped with the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, the platform delivers up to 33% higher graphics performance and 42% better power efficiency, enabling console-grade ray tracing.

Developed in close collaboration with MediaTek, OPPO’s latest Trinity Engine introduces Android’s first Unified Computing Power Model. This solution delivers system-level full-scene computational modelling for the MediaTek Dimensity 9500’s CPU, GPU, and DSU, achieving over 90% accuracy in power consumption prediction and optimising energy use across everyday use, gaming and imaging.
