The Organic and Natural Products Expo Africa Johannesburg, which takes place from 7 to 9 August at the Sandton Convention Centre, has partnered with My Terra, a personalised eCommerce wellness platform that connects consumers with locally sourced organic, natural, health, beauty and wellness products and services.

Warren Hickinbotham, co-founder of the Organic and Natural Products Expo Africa, says the partnership represents a practical extension of the Expo’s commitment to helping exhibitors access new markets. “Many of the Expo’s exhibitors are small businesses without an online presence or e-commerce capability. My Terra offers them exactly this, free at entry level, and then at a fraction of the cost should they want further promotional assistance.

“Together, we’re giving exhibitors an opportunity to build relationships with customers beyond the event. The beauty of this partnership is that it assists small and medium-sized enterprises, small-scale producers and emerging brands to develop an accessible online presence,” he explains.

“This partnership brings together the Expo’s community of purpose-led exhibitors and a platform founded on sustainable living, community empowerment and inclusive economic growth. Both organisations share an ambition to help local businesses reach new audiences while making trusted organic and natural products easier for consumers to discover.”

A year-round connection for exhibitors and consumers

During the Johannesburg Expo, exhibitors will be invited to apply to join My Terra as vendors. Visitors will be able to discover participating businesses, explore products online and purchase from brands aligned with their health, wellbeing and sustainability priorities.

Event signage will direct visitors to the My Terra platform via QR codes, creating an easy route from face-to-face discovery at the Expo to an ongoing digital relationship. This approach will help businesses maintain contact with customers, strengthen brand visibility and grow their customer communities after the event.

My Terra is building a curated digital marketplace for active, health-conscious consumers who value quality, environmental responsibility and authentic local products. Its offering spans clean beauty, fitness, health, nutrition and conscious living, supporting families and individuals in making informed, sustainable wellness choices.

It is also developing logistics systems to support smaller businesses that may lack the capacity to create their own delivery infrastructure. The intention is to build stronger local networks where product discovery, purchasing, information and delivery work together to make quality products more accessible.

According to Mordor Intelligence, South Africa’s e-commerce market is forecast to reach approximately $42 billion in 2026 and $63 billion by 2031. And, with smartphones accounting for an estimated 71.42 per cent of the country’s e-commerce market in 2025, accessible digital platforms are becoming increasingly important for consumers and small businesses alike.

Curated wellness for everyday athletes

My Terra’s marketplace reflects many of the values that guide Organic and Natural Products Expo Africa. Products are selected for their health focus, natural ingredients, limited use of harmful chemicals and preservatives, and environmentally responsible credentials. The platform serves people pursuing active, healthy lifestyles, described by My Terra as everyday athletes.

Educational content shared through My Terra’s social channels will help consumers understand the products available, make more informed choices and connect with the producers behind each purchase.

The long-term vision is a connected ecosystem that supports local wellness businesses throughout the year through directories, news and information, online events, eCommerce, logistics, delivery and face-to-face engagement.

“We encourage anyone interested in the future of the local wellness economy to join us in Sandton to experience the My Terra platform first hand,” Hickinbotham concludes.
