Celebrating 5 years of growth the 2027 event is all about Walking Your Why. It’s about moving, reflecting, finding joy and connecting with others.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Unlimited WalkFest returns to Johannesburg on 20 March 2027 at James & Ethel Gray Park, with a vision to bring together 5,000 people under the theme Walk Your Why.

The return to Johannesburg carries special significance as Unlimited WalkFEST celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2027. Over the past five years, what began as a shared walk has grown into a community experience where people come together to move, reflect, reconnect with their purpose and actively choose their wellbeing. This milestone celebrates not only how far Unlimited WalkFEST has come but also the thousands of personal journeys shaped by joy, intention and connection along the way.

Every step has a reason: a prayer, a promise, a person, a new beginning or simply the decision to choose yourself again. Walk Your Why celebrates those personal stories and reminds participants that while the reason for each step may be different, no one has to walk their journey alone.

Walking is one of the most accessible ways to begin caring for yourself. It requires no perfect starting point or complicated routine, only the willingness to take the next step. Unlimited WalkFEST turns that simple act into a collective commitment to spiritual, physical, relational, mental and financial well-being.

Mpoomy Ledwaba, Founder of Wisdom & Wellness, says Unlimited WalkFEST was created to remind people that wellbeing can begin with something as simple and joyful as taking a walk.

“You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes, the first step is simply choosing to show up for yourself. Walk Your Why asks each person to remember what they are walking towards and to move with that intention.

“When thousands of us do that together, walking becomes more than exercise. It becomes connection, celebration and a reminder that none of us must pursue wellbeing alone. We want every person to leave Unlimited WalkFEST feeling supported, encouraged and equipped to keep choosing themselves long after the day is over.”

Five years of walking with purpose

Over the past 5 years Unlimited WalkFEST has grown in parallel with the Wisdom & Wellness community, creating an experience where wellness isn’t something that’s just ‘out there’ or something you must be a certain type of person to access. It’s something that you can do together.

The vision for 2027 is to welcome 5,000 participants to James & Ethel Gray Park for a day that brings movement, reflection, conversation and celebration into one shared space. The event will encourage participants to name what they are walking towards and carry that intention beyond the starting line.

The journey begins before the walk

The Wisdom & Wellness app will be live prior to Unlimited WalkFEST, providing Private Members and GalPals with one space to connect, prepare and stay supported before and after the event.

Through the app, members can find Sunday Walking Club meeting points across more than 15 cities, connect with City Heroes, coordinate through city group chats and build meaningful relationships within the community.

The app also collates all monthly experiences into one space, including fasting and praying together, daily devotions, expert-led Tools Tuesday sessions, community conversations, events and direct links to the official Wisdom & Wellness podcast channels.
