About 105 coaches from 53 schools across Sasolburg area in the Free State attended a training last week, at Primêre Skool Fonteine.

The aim of the project is to equip local netball coaches with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to develop young players holistically, laying the foundation for growth both on and off the court.Over 1, 375 coaches have attended the coaching sessions, since inception.

“Seeing the growth of these young players year-on-year has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to be back on the ground, working with coaches and players who are shaping the future of South African netball,” said Chauke.

She said the programme was first made available in four provinces, and later expanded to all nine provinces of South Africa.

She said many schools have netball courts and for kids to be able to utilise these facilities they need to train the teachers/coaches to make sure all goes smoothly.
