Johannesburg, South Africa — Thandiwe Shema, Managing Director of Jalusi Tech and Jalusi Corporation, is making big changes in South Africa’s tech and business world. With over 7 years of experience, she is known for helping businesses grow through smart use of technology, creative strategies, and strong leadership.

Her work is focused on helping small businesses succeed by giving them the tools and support they need. She believes in using technology not just for profit, but to improve lives and support local communities.

Under her leadership, Jalusi Tech was recently named one of the Top 5 finalists in the Secure Digital Infrastructure category of the G20 SA Tech Challenge 2025. This shows the company’s growing impact in the digital space.

Mrs. Shema also supports women’s empowerment and fairness in the workplace. Most of her team at Jalusi are women, showing her strong belief that women’s success helps grow the economy.

She is now starting a new business, Jalusi Beauty and Health, a high-quality yet affordable beauty salon opening soon in Protea Glen, Soweto. This project will give local residents better access to top beauty services without needing to travel far.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Shema wants Jalusi to grow across Africa, create more local jobs, and support young people and women-led businesses.

‘We don’t just build businesses – we build communities,” she says.
