KAIZER CHIEFS AND COACH NABI GO SEPARATE WAYS

Kaizer Chiefs and their coach, Nasreddine Nabi, have agreed to go separate ways. This means he will no longer be the team’s head coach.

Nabi joined Kaizer Chiefs in the middle of 2024. While he was coach, the team won the Nedbank Cup, their first trophy in 10 years. Many fans were happy with this success.

However, there was a problem. Nabi did not have the full CAF coaching licence that is needed to coach in African club competitions. Because of this, he was not allowed to be on the bench during certain matches. This caused problems for the team.

Talks between the club and Nabi took place for weeks. In the end, they agreed to end the relationship in a friendly way.

Kaizer Chiefs thanked Nabi for his hard work and for helping the team win a trophy. Nabi also thanked the club, players, and fans for their support.

Two of Nabi’s assistants, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, will now take over. They will lead the team for the rest of the 2025/26 season as interim coaches.

The club is now looking for a new head coach to take over in the future.

This change is important for Chiefs, as they try to build a strong team and return to winning ways.
